LORE

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a kingdom with a tragic destiny. Centuries before, when its inhabitants were still crawling around on all fours, during a shower of shooting stars, one of them crashed into a field, lighting it up with a magnificent violet aura. The inhabitants called it the Stellar Stone.

No one could explain what followed. Half of its inhabitants were given powers: they could levitate objects that no living being on Earth could lift, and heal previously fatal wounds. This power was also used to build new structures within the Kingdom.

The other half, on the other hand, had to rely solely on their natural strength, and therefore had to train for combat, in order to be ready to repel potential invaders. Some knights resented this role, considering it to be "dirty work".

As for the king, he encouraged the magicians to get better and better, to build more and more buildings, to heal more and more efficiently all kinds of wounds. Faced with so many miracles, the king himself became jealous, and ordered the magicians to make him a bracelet adorned with fragments of the stone, so as to "inherit its powers and benefits".

So the magicians set about making what their king had ordered them to make. It took days and nights, and many prototypes, without any real success.

The king finally received the jewel he so coveted, and without waiting, slipped it onto his wrist. A violet aura invaded him, from head to toe. He laughed with joy before disappearing, leaving behind only his ashes and a Kingdom with a bruised heart.

The days that followed were dark. The king's death was mourned by most of the village. A statue of him was even erected in the village. The bitterness in some hearts, and the tension, only worsened. With the throne now empty, knights and mages alike began to covet it.

War broke out within the kingdom. The knights accused the mages of murdering the king, of wanting to gain full power and dominance over the other inhabitants of these lands. The mages, on the other hand, blamed the king's stupidity for wanting to play with a force of nature as dangerous as that of the stellar stone. The mages were expelled from the kingdom, taking the stone with them. They fled into the forest, setting up camp. While the knights continued to live out their lives within the Kingdom, finally free of the danger they believed the mages posed.

Now out of the Kingdom, the mages were preparing their revenge against the knights, regarding them as traitors. After all they had done for them, using their powers in the Kingdom. Mytikas, a more than unstable and angry mage, took the lead and organized an offensive against this Kingdom, which was once theirs too.

Conflict raged once again at the gates of the kingdom, after the mages launched a final offensive against what they considered to be traitors. While the knights protected the kingdom from yet another attack by a people with hostile intentions. Doing their best to protect what, in their eyes, was most dear to them. One thing was certain for both sides: this conflict would be the last.
